This Is Why Priyanka Used Katrina’s Name In Hindi Baywatch Trailer

Global star Priyanka Chopra is all prepped up for her maiden Hollywood flick, Baywatch. The actress was currently in her homeland for promoting the film and also released the Hindi version of Baywatch’s trailer. What surprised the fans after watching the Hindi trailer of the Hollywood flick was Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif’s name in it.

There’s a section in the trailer where Zac Efron’ s character is dressed as a female and is interrupting a conversation going on between Priyanka and Dwayne’s character. To which, Priyanka replied saying, “Chal Na Katrina”. The English version of the trailer used Britney’s name. It was really hilarious. Now, PC has explained why she used Katrina’s name in it.

She said, “I couldn't think of anyone else. Britney is such a huge star. So I had to find a modern day icon. I think Katrina Kaif is a major icon of Hindi cinema and I really really like her. This was my idea and I thought that it would be a fun replacement, and Katrina was really cool about it. I texted her before the trailer came out and she was like 'yeah, of course.' So I think she obviously saw the humour in it. I am really glad it has become so popular, it's my girl love homage to Katrina”.

This must have impressed Katrina too. On a related note, Baywatch features Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron and Priyanka Chopra and will hit theatres on June 2 in India.
