Praised by the critics, Spider-Man: Homecoming is touted to be one of the finest superhero films made in the recent times. This positive word of mouth has given it an edge at the ticket window.
On the other hand, Mom - that also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna in important roles - is slowly acquiring pace. It has also got mostly positive reviews and that has helped it in getting satisfactory footfall in the overseas market where it earned Rs 2.20 crore on its first day.
It will be interesting to see how Mom’s business shapes up against the roaring Spider-Man over the weekend.
