Vivek Oberoi makes an entry in Bank Chor now
Updated : July 28, 2014 03:00 PM ISTAfter star-comedian Kapil Sharma’s exit and Riteish Deshmukh’s entry, it is Vivek Oberoi making it into the coveted cast of Bank Chor. The latest news coming from the industry is that Vivek has been roped in to be a part of the movie and he plays a CBI officer.
Famous trade analyst Taran Adarsh while confirming the news tweeted, “Vivek Oberoi returns to Yash Raj after 12 years with #BankChor [after #Saathiya]. Plays a CBI officer. Riteish Deshmukh heads the cast..” Vivek had last done a film with Yash Raj in 2002 where he played the lead in ‘Saathiya’ directed by Shaad Ali. Last year was a very good one for Vivek since his both ‘Grand Masti’ and ‘Krrish 3’ became blockbusters. ‘Bank Chor’ is being directed by Bumpy and is going under the YRF banner headed by Ashish Patel. The film stars Rhea Chakraborty as the female lead. Talking about the deal Ashish said, "The game just got bigger with Vivek hitting the Bank Chor crime scene. Vivek brings his A-Game to whatever he does, and with this character that's signature rockstar badass Vivek, he's going to set the screen on fire. We're thrilled to welcome him to the party!"
Bank Chor is a story of three morons who pick the worst day possible to rob a bank and mess everything up. The film has gone into production and will most likely release in the second half of 2015.
