What! Priyanka Chopra Has Backed Out Of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gustakhiyan

After ruling Bollywood, Priyanka forayed into Hollywood with TV show Quantico. Thereafter, she was seen in a Hollywood film Baywatch along with top stars. And ever since then the actress has been missing from Bollywood.

Recently, there were reports that the actress would be returning to Bollywood with Sanjay Leela Bhasnali’s Gustakhiyan. The movie is a biopic on Indian writer and lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi. The movie was said to explore Ludhianvi's relationship with Indian poet Amrita Pritam, the role which Priyanka was supposed to play.

However, now we have learnt that the former Miss World is no longer a part of the project. She has reportedly said ‘no’ to the director. "With Priyanka stepping down, Sanjay is now scouting for other options. They have decided to approach two other big A-listers but this time, Sanjay doesn’t want any news to be out till he confirms his leading lady,” revealed a source to a leading daily.

Recently, Shah Rukh Khan’s meeting with Sanjay sparked off rumours that the actor will play the role of Sahir Ludhianvi. We wonder if SRK is the reason for Priyanka backing out of the project since the two actors do not get along very well with each other. In the past, there were rumours of several actors such as Abhishek Bachchan and Irrfan Khan doing the film. Well, let’s see who would step into Priyanka’s shoes.
