Will Be Proud To See Amitabh Bachchan As President: Shatrughan

A long time friend of Amitabh Bachchan and MP from Bihar, yesteryear actor Shatrughan Sinha has fielded the megastar for presidency. The actor who previously had hot and cold relationship with his co-star from Naseeb (1981) has said, “It will be a matter of pride if Amitabh Bachchan, a cultural icon, is made president of the country”. The actor made the statement at the launch of his biography ‘Anything but Khamosh’ in Patna.

Previously, Amitabh Bachchan had supported Sinha’s name as the next President of India. Giving his reaction to the comment, the yesteryear actor said, “It’s his greatness. But, I will be happy if he graces the chair of President after Pranab Mukherjee”.

“Amitabh Bachchan has achieved many a milestone in cultural and social fields and if he becomes president, it will fetch a good name for the country”, the MP from Patna Sahib constituency added. Both the actors have worked together in many successful movies, such as Kaala Pathar, Dostana and Shaan. Amitabh was also present at the launch of Sinha’s book in Mumbai, recently.
