Yami Gautam To Play Female Lead In Sanjay Dutt's Biopic?

Rumours have it that actress Yami Gautam has been roped in to play Manyata Dutt, who is the wife of Sanjay Dutt, in an upcoming biographical film, which is based on the ‘Agneepath’ actor. Earlier, reports were doing the rounds that the ‘Son of Sardaar’ actor wanted to see Katrina Kaif playing his wife opposite Ranbir Kapoor in the biopic. It was also reported that director Rajkumar Hirani took the offer to the ‘Phantom’ actress.

In addition, Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut were two other names associated with the project. But the recent development says that Yami has been approached to play the female lead. An official announcement is still awaited to confirm the actual cast of the biopic.

For the movie, Ranbir is expected to go through a drastic physical transformation. Earlier, the actor told DNA, "I still don't know how much I will have to pile on. When me and Raju sir sit down for discussion, maybe we will talk about it and I would know exactly how much weight I have to gain”.

Reportedly, the flick, which is in pre-production stage, will depict the emotional side of Sanjay’s life.
