Grenier uploaded a photo on his Twitter account that shows him, Walker, and Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Executive Director Julie Packard posing together. The trio were all smiles as Grenier held his award and included the caption, “Honored to share my voice today. Thank you @paulwalkerfdn for recognizing my work with @lonelywhale. #DoGood.”
Meadow is determined to keep her father's memory alive by helping a cause close to his heart. "Reflecting on my father, I found myself reflecting on his passions," she wrote on Instagram, adding "His passion for the ocean, his passion for rescuing animals, his passion for helping people and his passion for spontaneous goodwill. I wanted to start this foundation because I want to share that piece of him with the world. I want to share that part of him with others."
In April, Meadow was awarded $10.1 million in a settlement from Roger Roda’s estate. Rodas was driving the car that Meadow’s father, Paul, was travelling in when they were both killed in a fiery accident in Santa Clarita, California, in 2013. Prior to his terrible death in 2013, Paul told friends that he was happier than ever after his daughter moved from Hawaii to California to live with him. “She’s the best partner I’ve ever had. I’ve never had anything like this in my life.” he said. “I feel so transient; I’ve been on my own since I was 16. There’s a part of me who feels like I’m making up for lost time.
