‘Angry Birds’ Movie Sequel Set To Release In 2019

The lovers of angry birds, we have got good news for you. The animated ‘Angry Birds’ movie which hit the theatres last year is all set to come again to enthral you. According to reports, Columbia Pictures and Rovio Entertainment have announced of making a sequel of the film.

The movie is expected to release on September 20, 2019. The release date will mark the 10th anniversary of the original mobile gaming app. The film will be directed by debutant Thurop Van Orman and will be co-directed by John Rice, who was the lead storyboard artist on 'The Angry Birds Movie' and was at the helm of affairs of the popular 'Angry Birds Hatchlings' shorts.

Peter Ackerman will be writing the script. John Cohen will be at the helm of affairs for the project. The first part had Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph, Peter Dinklage, Sean Penn and Keegan-Michael Key lending their voice. The first 'Angry Birds Movie' collected more than 350 million USD worldwide and was the second-highest grossing film adapted from a mobile game.
