Anna Kendrick Wants To Play Squirrel Girl

True Marvel fans might not be surprised on hearing a character named Squirrel Girl but others might find it quite weird. The superhero made her first appearance in the 1992 Marvel Super-Heroes vol. 2, #8. Her abilities include super strength, speed, reflexes and accelerated healing. Recently, Pitch Perfect actress Anna Kendrick showed interest in playing the character.

According to Net A Porter, “My brother sent me a Squirrel Girl comic because he thinks I should [play her]. I don’t know what Squirrel Girl does other than be half squirrel, but I could be half squirrel!”, the actress stated. Scott Weinberg took to Twitter and posted, “I don’t even know who Squirrel Girl is but based only on her name, yes, it should be @AnnaKendrick”.

A fan of Anna also created a potential poster for her superhero role. In the image, she is seen holding two squirrels in her hands, with a furry tail. The actress was last seen in the film ‘Mr. Right’ which was released on April 8.
