Ashley Judd joins Divergent star cast as Natalie Prior

Shailene Woodley’s Beatrice inDivergentis all set to get an onscreen mother in Ashley Judd as the latter one has joined the star cast of the film to play the role of Natalie Prior. Neil Burger, the helmer of the project, a big screen adaptation of the Veronica Roth book, has started shooting for the film earlier this week in Chicago.

The film, which is based on a future world where people are divided distinctively, based on their personalities, also stars Kate Winslet and Theo James. The 44-year-old Judd has recently starred inOlympus Has Fallenalongside Gerard Butler and Aaron Eckhart.

Judd has also turned a director forLifetime`s Call Me Crazy, which would premiere on April 20.Divergentis due to hit the cinemas on March 21, 2014.
