Batman to play Travis McGee as Christian Bale agrees to play the role

Actor Christian Bale will reportedly play the role of the fictional character Travis McGee in the movie adaptation of the Book ‘The Deep Blue Good-By’. The actor is said to have agreed to be a part of the movie.

The 40-year-old star who is popularly known to have played Batman in the record breaking ‘The Dark Knight’ and ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ is brought on board for the film which will be directed by James Mangold. The Deep Blue Good-By is the first book in the series of 21 and its movie adaptation will be produced by Chernin Entertainment while Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson-Killoran will produce it for Appian Way along with Amy Robinson. However an official announcement is yet to be made regarding the offer but it is expected to happen shortly. It is a story of a consultant who gets in trouble for recovering people’s properties for a fee and fights bad guys besides wooing women. Christian’s next ‘Exodus’ is also produced by Fox and Chernin Entertainment and will release in December this year.
