The Boss Takes Box Office Cake, Dawn of Justice Loses Lead

The recently released Ben Falcone directorial ‘The Boss’ saw a domestic opening weekend of $23.48 million which gave it the top spot on the weekend box office list. The movie stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Bell, Peter Dinklage and Ella Anderson. Zack Snyder’s 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' dropped a spot with its $23.43 million. The movie saw its third weekend and has pooled in $783 million worldwide.

The animated flick ‘Zootopia’ brought in another $14.3 million on its sixth weekend. It has now grossed more than $852 million worldwide. Running on its third weekend, the Kirk Jones directorial ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2’ made $6.4 million over the weekend and has crossed $70 million in worldwide collections.

Ilya Naishuller’s ‘Hardcore Henry’ saw an opening weekend of $5 million which was a slow start for the film. The movie stars Haley Bennett and Sharlto Copley in the leading roles. It has been shot in first person for the most part and contains some pretty intense action sequences.
