Broadway's Iceman Cometh Revival Will Star Denzel Washington

Hollywood actor Denzel Washington will be seen in the revival of 'Iceman's Cometh' next year. This will be a comeback film for the actor. The script of 'Iceman Cometh' was written in 1939 and the play got published much later in 1946.

Further, in 1946 it debuted on Broadway. The story is based on a bar at a down-market in New York, which follows the conversations of the customers that have nowhere to go. The play which has been revived four times was last produced in 1999, which starred actor Kevin Spacey.

The show will be produced by Scott Rudin. The film’s preview will begin on March 22 and the opening night is scheduled for April 26. Washington’s last Broadway film was ‘A Raisin in the Sun’, which was showcased at the Ethel Barrymore Theater Sun' in 2014.
