Bruce Lee’s story unfolds as family plans a biopic on maestro

Martial Arts Maestro and actor Bruce Lee’s untold story will soon unfold for the audiences as Lee’s family is in plans of developing a biopic on himself. Lee’s daughter and known American actress/businesswoman Shannon Lee told in a statement. The project will also be produced by Lawrence Grey and Janet Yang.

Shannon told that the earlier projects based on Bruce Lee haven’t been able to do complete justice so they are coming up with this project. "There have been projects out there involving my father, but they've lacked a complete understanding of his philosophies and artistry. They haven't captured the essence of his beliefs in martial arts or storytelling. The only way to get audiences to understand the depth and uniqueness of my father is to generate our own material and find amazing, like-minded partners to work with," she said.

Shannon also added that there many in depth aspects about Lee that people are unaware off and this film will try to explore that. "Many don't know that Bruce Lee was also a prolific writer and a creator of his own unique art and philosophy. That's what we want to show - not just his kick-ass physicality, but the depth of his character and beliefs," she added. The coming details haven’t been divulged as yet as the project is in early stages.
