Carmen Ejogo Signed In For 'True Detective' Season 3

Actress Carmen Ejogo has been roped in to star in season three of 'True Detective'. She will be cast opposite the Mahershala Ali in the new instalment of the TV series. Carmen will essay the role of Amelia Reardon, an Arkansas schoolteacher, who has a connection with two children who went missing in 1980.

Ali will play Wayne Hays, a state police detective from Northwest Arkansas. The story of the new season revolves around of a macabre crime in the heart of the Ozarks and a mystery that intensifies over decades and plays out in three separate time periods. Nic Pizzolatto, Scott Stephens, Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson, Cary Joji Fukunaga, Steve Golin, Bard Dorros, and Richard Brown will be the executive producers.

Pizzolatto will direct as well as write the project. Carmen is currently seen in the second season of the Starz series ‘The Girlfriend Experience’ which is written and directed by Amy Seimetz. She will be next seen in Dan Gilroy’s ‘Roman J. Israel, ESQ.’ alongside Denzel Washington.
