Charles Xavier In The New Wolverine Film Will Be Very Different: Patrick Stewart
Updated : August 10, 2016 10:12 AM IST We all know Sir Patrick Stewart for his portrayal of Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men cinematic universe. He will next be seen in the upcoming Wolverine film which might be the last time he plays the famous character. Talking to ITV, the actor shared that his character in the film will be quite different from the previous portrayals.
“I would imagine this is probably the end of this franchise for me. But the thing about science fiction and fantasy is that you can never, ever say it’s the end, it’s over”, he shared. Talking about his character, the 76-year-old actor says that it will be “a very different Charles Xavier… nothing like the Charles Xavier you’ve seen in the past”.
Along with Patrick, Hugh Jackman will also be reprising his role as the clawed mutant for the last time. The movie will also star Stephen Merchant, Elise Neal, Boyd Holbrook, Eriq La Salle and Richard E. Grant. The new Wolverine film is being directed by James Mangold and will hit the screens on March 3, 2017.
