Claire Danes embarks on motherhood; gives birth to baby boy

Claire Danes welcomes a new life in her world as she gives birth to her first child on Monday. It is a baby boy christened Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy, as confirmed by People’s magazine.

The 33- year oldHomelandactress and her British actor husbandHugh Dancy got married in 2009. The couple is thrilled to have their first child after three years of marriage as Danes opened up,“There’s no way of anticipating what that’s going to mean for us but we are very excited. We are going to love this person, I know that.”

While disclosing her pregnancy news in July, she said she was looking forward to ''getting to know our new Dancy'' during the festive season. Now as the celebrations have already begun, it’s all time for a great Christmas for the new parents.
