The Craft is getting a remake

Sony Pictures has decided to remake The Craft (1996), witchcraft movie that starred Neve Campbell, Fairuza Balk, Robin True and Robin Tunney. Doug Wick returns as a producer and will work alongside Lucy Fisher. The original film was co-written and directed by Andrew Fleming.

The original film, revolved around a quartet of teenage girls (Neve Campbell, Fairuza Balk, Robin True and Robin Tunney) dabbling with witchcraft and predictably getting in over their heads. Even today the film holds up, and also considered to be an all-time great.

Leigh Janiak will be directing the project for Sony, who recently directed 2014’s Honeymoon, which starred Game of Thrones actress Rose Leslie. Phil Graziadei is also attached to write The Craft with Janiak. Janiak is also helming an episode of Scream for MTV.
