Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: James Franco to do a cameo

Actor James Franco has been roped in to make a guest appearance in the upcoming sci-fi, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Director of the film, Mark Reeves has confirmed the news, “There is an appearance that he makes there’s no reprise of the footage that they shot of his death or anything like that. Essentially the idea is that Caesar has ties to both communities, to the humans because he has a human father in Will, who died in the viral apocalypse, and then he has the apes who are his family now, so of course he has ties to both.”

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is the eighth flick of the Planet of the Apes series. The movie is scheduled to hit screens on July 11, this year. It will feature Andy Serkis, Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Keri Russell and Judy Greer in the lead roles. The film is a production piece of Peter Chernin, Dylan Clark, Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver.
