Deadpool Teaser Released Before Official Trailer

With the official trailer just around the corner, 20th Century Fox has released a short teaser for Deadpool. The highly anticipated film stars Ryan Reynolds as the ‘Merc with a mouth’. The teaser is definitely going to increase the excitement for the film, as well as the trailer.

The 44-second teaser begins with a narration that introduces Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool who is seen sitting on a chair with his legs crossed. The character is supposed to be a funny anti-hero which is proved right when he opens his mouth – or talks through his mask. He tells us, the viewers, that the trailer will be released tomorrow and that we should prepare our “collective sphincters”.

The first footage of the film was shown at this year’s Comic Con and received a standing ovation and an encore demand. Directed by Tim Miller, Deadpool will be released on February 12 next year. The cast will include Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, Ed Skrein and Leslie Uggams, among others.
