Doctor Strange Brings In Whopping $84 Million During Opening Weekend!

The hype train surely paid off! Marvel’s ‘Doctor Strange’ has delivered on its promise of entertainment and awesomeness. The movie was quite successful in bringing in the crowd and grossed an impressive $84.9 million on its opening weekend. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, the movie reached the $325 million mark worldwide.

‘Trolls’ and ‘Hacksaw Ridge’ also hit the screens along with ‘Doctor Strange’, though their performance was nowhere near to the Marvel flick. ‘Trolls’ brought in $45.6 million domestically with the worldwide earnings reaching $149 million. Mel Gibson’s ‘Hacksaw Ridge’ saw an opening of $14.7 million over the weekend. The movie stars Andrew Garfield, Sam Worthington and Luke Bracey.

Tyler Perry’s ‘Boo! A Madea Halloween’ brought in another $7.8 million, sending its worldwide earnings to $65 million. Tyler has directed, written, acted and also produced the flick. Tom Hanks starrer ‘Inferno’ made $6.2 million on its second weekend. The movie has been directed by Ron Howard and follows the novel series by Dan Brown.
