Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Gearing Up for Jungle Cruise

Dwayne Johnson will be teaming up with Disney for its next project titled Jungle Cruise. According to the hollywoodreporter.com, John Requa and Glenn Ficarra will be writing the script for the movie. They have previously worked on Focus which is Will Smith’s heist film.

Jungle Cruise will be based on a safari theme based ride. Disney has been trying since 2004 to get a movie on it. The Jungle Cruise is a retro adventure ride which is one of Disneyland’s originals. The ride takes the participants through an African setting, with rhinos, hippos and head-hunters along the way.

The exact plot details of the film are yet to be revealed. Dwayne expressed his enthusiasm for the project and said, “[Disney production president] Sean Bailey and Disney have been awesome partners and now the fun part begins ... We’re starting to put in the work with Requa and Ficarra and our creative team. Fired up about this one. Here we go”.
