Emily Blunt, Dwayne Johnson To Feature In Disney’s Jungle Cruise

According to a report in Variety, Hollywood actress Emily Blunt will feature in Disney’s Jungle Cruise alongside actor Dwayne Johnson. The film based on the Walt Disney World ride will be directed by eminent director Jaume Collet-Serra. Oscar nominee Michael Green, who has earlier penned Logan, has written the script of the film recently.

Moreover, the film has been inspired by The African Queen ” starring Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn. Also, according to sources Disney has been elated with Blunt’s performance in Mary Poppins returns and was looking for a way to keep her with another potential film in the franchise.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Johnson had recently featured in the 800 million dollars worldwide box office hit, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. Further, his other upcoming projects include Rampage and Skyscraper both slated to release this year. The film Jungle Cruise is slated to go into production from May.
