Gary Oldman reunites with Tom Hardy for Child 44

Old pals Tom Hardy and Gary Oldman have joined hands once again to work together inChild 44, which also stars Noomi Rapace and Joel Kinnaman.The actors together have earlier offered superhits likeTinker Tailor Soldier Spy,The Dark Knight RisesandLawless.

The new venture will be produced by RidleyScott under the direction of Safe HousehelmerDaniel Espinosa. The story of the film revolves around a dishonored MGB agent, which will be played by Hardy. Based inthe 1950s Soviet Union, the agent investigates an inexhaustible child murderer who may have connections with the topmost party leaders. Rapace has been signed up to play the wife of the agent with secrets of her own while Kinnaman will be the ultimate ‘nemesis’ for Hardy. Oldman will play military police member, who is suspected in the case.

Richard PriceofThe WireandClockersfame has scripted the film, which is based on the book byTom Rob Smith.The film will undergo shooting this summer.
