Guardians of the Galaxy trailer launched by Chris Pratt

The first official trailer of James Gunn-directed Guardians of the Galaxy has been launched by leading actor Chris Pratt on the popular television show, Jimmy Kimmel Live. Pratt, who is flying high following his success with The Lego Movie, premiered the trailer of the upcoming Marvel Studios film.

When asked what Guardians of the Galaxy stand for, Pratt explained that they are “badasses who go around shootin’ people and bein’ all tough and bad…in space!” While one of them is a raccoon, one is a tree and the other one is a WWE wrestler. This sci-fi superhero flick also features Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close and Benicio del Toro. It’s scheduled to open on August 1 at the U.S.
