Helen Mirren To Star In 'The Nutcracker and the Four Realms'

Lasse Hallström is set to wield the megaphones for Disney’s live-action 'The Nutcracker and the Four Realms'. We all know that Keira Knightley will star as the Sugar Plum Fairy in the movie which is adapted from Tchaikovsky's classic ballet. If recent media reports are to be trusted, the actress is likely to be joined by Oscar-winning actress Helen Mirren. The flick is based on 'The Nutcracker and the Mouse King', a story penned in 1816 by E.T.A. Hoffmann.

The movie will also feature Interstellar Star Mackenzie Foy playing Clara. The actress has lent her voice in the animated film ‘The Little Prince’. ‘The Nutcracker and the Four Realms’ will be produced by Mark Gordon and written by Ashleigh Powell.

As far as Helen is concerned, the 71-year-old actress was last seen in ‘Trumbo’. The biographical drama was directed by Jay Roach and penned by John McNamara. The film garnered positive reviews.
