Hollywood is Hungry For Important Roles For Black Actors: Lupita

While giving an interview to a leading website, Oscar laureate Lupita Nyong'o said there is "real imbalance" in Hollywood industry. She emphasized that when it comes to creation of creation of stories, the disparity can be easily found. The actress was recently seen in a blockbuster flick ‘The Star Wars: The Force Awakens’. 

“There is a real imbalance, from the very creation of the stories and who's telling them, how and why. That's got to be diversified because there is a hunger for the expansion of the role of people of colour in the centre of narratives," the actress said. Change has to happen with the writers, the studio, the marketers, the directors".

The actress has also previously made her ‘disappointment’ clear in public on lack of diversity at 88^th Academy Awards. The questions were raised by many at the lack of diversity in the nominations. The star has won best supporting actress for ‘12 Years a Slave’.
