Ian McShane Joins Game of Thrones Cast

Emmy-winning British actor Ian McShane has signed up for the hit HBO series Game of Thrones. According to Entertainment Weekly, Ian will be playing a mysterious role in the upcoming season 6. The specific details of his role are currently unclear.

Game of Thrones season 5 was the last season to be based on George R.R. Martin’s book as the sixth book has not been published yet. The fate of season six is a mystery to all and so is the character of Ian. Nevertheless, sources have stated that Ian would have an essential role in the show but also have a relatively small amount of screen-time.

Ian is known for his role as Al Swearengen in the series ‘Deadwood’. He was also seen in a short role in the Keanu Reeves starrer ‘John Wick’. Game of Thrones season six has started with the production and will return for 10 episodes directed by five directors responsible for two seasons each.
