Idris Elba roped in as male lead in Alive Alone

Pacific Rim star Idris Elba will be reportedly playing the male lead in an upcoming thriller, titled Alive Alone. He has been signed up to enact a former prisoner of Guantanamo Bay.

The 41-year-old Prometheus actor has been finalised as a replacement of Matthias Schoenaerts who was originally given the role of Jamal, the lead character, in the film. Elba was last seen in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. In Alive Alone the actor will be teaming up with Avatar star Sam Worthington and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’s acclaimed actress Noomi Rapace. Rapace, who is also in the production team of the film, will be seen as a prostitute in the same. Khurram Longi will mark his directorial debut with Alive Alone.
