Imogen Poots in talks for a role in Lonely Island comedy

Imogen Poots is in talks to play a role in the untitled Lonely Island and Apatow Productoin, reported by TheWrap. Poots could be seen playing the love interest of Andy Samberg who is already confirmed for the project.

Sandberg will be seen essaying the role of a rapper. He is forced to reunite with his former boy band after his solo venture fails badly. Sarah Silverman and Tim Meadows will also feature in the film. Silverman will play the role of Sandberg's publicist while Meadows will essay the role of his manager.

Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer are directing and co-starring in the movie. And the duo, are also producing the movie along with Judd Apatow. Poots recently finished working on Jeremy Saulnier’s n Green Room, which just debuted to strong reviews at Cannes. She will also be seen in Knight of Cups and as the lead in Peter Bogdanovich’s comedy She’s Funny That Way.
