It’s official: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales production started in Queensland

According to the sources, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, the fifth installment in the blockbuster adventure franchise that began over a decade ago, has started production on location in Queensland, Australia, Disney announced on Tuesday.

The franchise, inspired by the classic Disney Theme Parks attraction by the same name has reaped $3.7 billion at the worldwide box. The movie is directed by Espen Sandberg and Joachim Ronning. Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will introduce new cast members Kaya Scodelario and Brenton Thwaites alongside returning stars Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush and Stephen Graham. The film currently has a July 7, 2017 release date.
