J. K. Simmons Joined ‘The Accountant’ Because Of Ben Affleck

‘The Accountant’, starring Ben Affleck and J. K. Simmons released last Friday all around the world and did a superb business at the box office. The duo enthralled the audiences with a strong performance in one of the best action thriller films of this year. Simmons revealed that though this is the first time they worked together, but he has been a fan of the Gone Girl actor.

Simmons was recently asked the reason that made him join the Gavin O'Connor directorial. The Whiplash actor said that besides the script, it was Ben that made him join the flick. He said, “"The true answer is that, initially, it was just the script. That was definitely the first thing that appealed, and Ben was attached. I don't think we'd ever met at all, but I was a fan of his”.

The 61-year-old also called him a smart actor and filmmaker. Affleck will next be seen in his directorial venture ‘Live by Night’. The crime film will feature Elle Fanning and it will hit the screens on December 25.
