Jack Black teams up with Jared Hess for Micronations

Jack Black and Jared Hess are looking to collaborate for Micronations. The duo, have previously worked together when Hess directed Black in Nacho Libre. The 45-year-old actor is well known for his performances in films such as School of Rock, Kung Fu Panda and Bernie.

Black will be seen essaying the role of ‘lovable odd ball’ in the film, as described by the director. The film is set in the world of do it yourself countries, which are occupied by outlandish and visionary people. Hess said that he got the idea for the film, when he found out there were people within the United States who had created their very own countries. And he immediately went to Black to discuss the project who was on the same wavelength.

The movie will be produced by Brandt Andersen, Dave Hunter and Hess via Buffalo Film Company, along with Jack Black's Electric Dynamite and Damon Ross. The flick will be helmed by Jared Hess. The script for the film was written by New Girl writers Robert Snow and Christian Magalhaes.
