James Caan bags legendary football player role in ‘Fantasy Life’

The Godfather star James Caan will co-star with Kevin Connolly and Vanessa Williams in Fox’s comedy pilot Fantasy Life. Connolly will executive produce alongside writer Tim McAuliffe and 3 Arts’ Michael Rotenberg, Jonathan Berry, Greg Walter and Troy Zien.

The pilot is based on the book by ESPN fantasy sports expert Matthew Berry which is written by Tim McAuliffe. Vanessa Williams is also been cast in the pilot as the boss of Kevin Connelly’s character. Caan is playing a legendary former football player and coach named Chuck. Caan is known for starring in The Godfather. In recent years, he has appeared in TV series ‘Back in the Game and Magic City.’
