James Cameron says he will finish Avatar 2, Avatar 3 writing this year itself

Iconic Hollywood filmmaker James Cameron, who is presently busy in penning the sequel of his record-breaking filmAvatar, revealed that he will finish the scripts of next twoAvatarinstallments by the end of this year. “It’s a little bit of a daunting writing task because it’s two scripts and they’ve both gotta be done at the same time,” Cameron said recently.

The director has decided to shoot theAvatarsequels concurrently and plans to release the first film in 2015. “I’m writing it as separate stories that have an overall arc inclusive of the first film,” Cameron said, adding, “I don’t want to suffer from theMatrix 2problem, where it just ends, like, what the hell? It’s gotta end. There’s gotta be a sense of conclusion, but also a sense that the journey will continue, and that’s a fine line.” Producer Jon Landau also confirmed that the second and thirdAvatarfilms will be shot back-to-back.

He said, they have not decided about the fourth film yet but if it happens then it would be a prequel.
