Jane Fonda to co-star Russell Crowe in Fathers and Daughters

Academy Award winning actress Jane Fonda has been reportedly roped in to star in Fathers and Daughters, a romantic drama, alongside Russell Crowe. The film also stars Aaron Paul, Amanda Seyfried, Octavia Spencer, Diane Kruger and Quvenzhane Wallis.

The role of a struggling novelist will be played by Crowe focussing on how he handles depression while nurturing his 5-year-old daughter. The grown-up character of the daughter, after 20 years, will be played by Seyfried. The 76-year-old actress, Fonda, will be seen as Crowe’s close friend and also literary agent. Fonda, who is famous for films like Klute, Julia, Coming Home, The China Syndrome and On Golden Pond, has her kitty full with multiple projects including a comedy series with Lily Tomlin. Fonda was honoured with an AFI Life Achievement Award for her extraordinary contribution to cinema.
