Jane Got a Gun ropes in Bradley Cooper replacing Jude Law

The Western revenge storyJane Got a Gun, which has been making headlines for quite some time now after losing a director and actors, has got a new bad guy on its board. Bradley Cooper has been signed up to play the villain, which was left behind by Jude Law, who refused to star in the film any moreafter the original director,Lynne Ramseyunexpectedly put down the project over creative and contract issues.

The movie is undergoing production now in New Mexico, being directed by Gavin O’Connor. In the movie Natalie Portman would star as a womanwhose outlaw husband returns home with bullet wounds. The prohibited gang of her husband eventually tracks him down to end his life and she is forced

to reach out to an ex-lover to help her out defending her farm. The ex-lover will be played by Joel Edgerton of the newGreat Gatsbyfame.

Cooper is presently shooting forDavid O. Russell’s untitled movie, once namedAmerican Bullshit. The actor will take up theJane Got a Gunproject on a later date, according to sources.
