Jennifer Lawrence Was Humiliated In Her Early Career

Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence has recently opened up about an incident during her early career, which made her feel objectified. The 27-year-old actress said that she was asked to reduce 15 pounds in two weeks by a female Hollywood executive. She was lined up naked with five other women and was told to go on a crash diet.

The Hollywood star said, “When I was much younger and starting out, I was told by producers of a film to lose 15 pounds in two weeks. During this time a female producer had me do a nude line-up with about five women who were much, much, thinner than me. We are stood side-by-side with only tape on covering our privates”. She further revealed that when she approached another director and told him that the weight loss demands were not appropriate, he said that she was perfect to have intercourse with.

Moreover, the actress added that she felt trapped by the entire experience. Lawrence's comment comes after many Hollywood's women shared their story of sexual assault by producer Harvey Weinstein. On the work front, the actress will be seen in Red Sparrow and X-Men: Dark Phoenix, set to release next year.
