John Wick 2 Going On Floors This Fall

Thunder Road has confirmed that the shooting for John Wick 2 will begin this fall. The movie will bring back Keanu Reeves as John Wick in the lead role. The sequel will also have directors David Leitch and Chad Stahelski returning along with screenwriter Derek Kolstad.

The President of Acquisitions and Co-Productions at Lionsgate said, “With such tremendous fan and critical support for ‘John Wick,’ we knew that there was still so much more of this story to tell. We are thrilled that Keanu, David and Chad have re-teamed with us and promise to bring audiences even more excitement the second time around”. The 2014 movie was a revenge and redemption thriller with intense action sequences, revolving around a legendary hitman, John.

The movie grossed $78 million which is quite a lot compared to its budget of only $20 million. The sequel will be produced by Thunder Road’s Basil Iwanyk and released through Lionsgate’s Summit Entertainment. No further information about the project is currently available.
