Julia Roberts And Lucas Hedges To Come On Board For 'Ben Is Back'

Hollywood stars Julia Roberts and Lucas Hedges have been approached to star in the homecoming drama 'Ben Is Back.’ While Julia will play mother, Lucas will essay the role of her son. The drama is directed by Hedges’ real-life father, Peter Hedges.

The story revolves around a charming yet troubled man Ben Burns, played by Lucas, who returns to his home on Christmas eve. He receives a great welcome from his wary mother Holly Burns, played by Roberts. Though she is unaware about the danger that her son is in, but later comes to know about it. Holly has only 24 hours to use all her will and power to do all that she can to avoid her family’s downfall.  

The project is being produced by Color Force and Black Bear Pictures alongside the senior Hedges. It is expected to go on floors in December in New York . Meanwhile Julia will be next seen in the forthcoming drama 'Wonder,' opposite Jacob Tremblay and Owen Wilson. Lucas Hedges, who was nominated for an Oscar for his work in Manchester by the Sea, will be seen in 'Lady Bird' directed by debutant Greta Gerwig and Martin McDonagh drama 'Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.'
