Katie Holmes needed pal Jeremy Strongs shoulder for support post divorce

After her divorce from superstar husband Tom Cruise, Hollywood actress Katie Holmes reportedly turned toThe Romanticsco-star Jeremy Strong for emotional support. A close friend of theBatman Beginsactress said, "They've been friends for years. Other than her parents, Jeremy was the only person who knew Katie was moving to New York - and the first person she saw when she arrived." However, the source clarified that Holmes' relationship with Strong is strictly platonic. "Katie doesn't feel the need to rush into another relationship. He's helped boost Katie's confidence in her personal and professional life," the insider informed. Strong's mother, Maureen, told Star magazine, "He told me, 'Mum, she's one of the nicest people I've ever met, so authentic and down-to-earth. She's the real deal.'" Tom and Katie’s divorce was finalized in August and now the actress is living in New York with her six-year-old daughter Suri.
