Lawsuit Filed Against Jim Carrey

Jim Carrey is under the spotlight and not for a good reason this time. The comedy star has been accused of giving his deceased ex-girlfriend Cathriona White sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) before she committed suicide. This claim has been made by White’s estranged husband Mark Burton, who has filed a lawsuit regarding this matter.

Burton revealed that Cathriona exchanged tests with the Dumb and Dumber To actor in 2013. He added that she contacted Carrey told him she thought she had contracted an STD from him. He also said that the actor pressurized her and forced her to keep her mouth shut on the matter.

However, Jim Carrey’s lawyer Marty Singer has blasted the allegations that have been made on his clients. He termed the accusations as outrageous and said that it was a desperate bogus claim made by Mark Burton. He further revealed that Cathriona contacted the actor in November 2014 and asked him to continue a serious relationship.
