Leonardo DiCaprio Nearly Died While Shooting Climate Change Documentary

Leonardo DiCaprio’s documentary on climate change titled ‘Before the Flood’ will soon hit the big screen. Directed by Fisher Stevens, the cast for the documentary includes Elon Musk, Bill Clinton, Pope Francis, Barack Obama and others. In a recent interview with CQ, director Stevens revealed that DiCaprio almost drowned while filming and was saved by Edward Norton.

“I was diving buddies with Edward Norton. So we go down and we see 300 Eagle Rays and Spotted Rays and it was an amazing dive. Leo bolts away with Sylvia, and Edward goes in front of me and the next thing I know after twenty minutes I’d lost them all. Then, I see Leo barely breathing, because Leo’s tank was leaking oxygen, and Edward had to save him!”, the director shared.

‘Before the Flood’ will hit the screens on October 30. All the actors play themselves in the documentary which has been produced by Trevor Davidoski, Jennifer Davisson Killoran, Brett Ratner and Stevens. It focuses on the rapid climate change that is taking place and its impact on the environment.
