Melanie Griffith-Antonio Banderas getting divorced, it’s confirmed

Hollywood celebrity couple, Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas, have issued a joint statement announcing their divorce officially. Ending 18 years of their marriage the couple said they want to respect “the beautiful time we have spent together.”

The joint statement says, “We have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalize our almost 20-year marriage in a loving and friendly manner honoring and respecting each other, our family and friends and the beautiful time we have spent together.” The 53-year-old Desperado actor Banderas and his wife, 56-year-old Academy Award-nominated actress Griffith, have one child together. While this was the second marriage for Banderas, Griffith had her fourth marriage with The Mask of Zorro actor. Griffith’s daughter with her previous husband Don Johnson, Dakota, will be seen in the upcoming film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.
