Michael Bay Reveals Plans To Direct The Sequel Of This 1996 Blockbuster

American filmmaker Michael Bay is popular for directing action packed movies with hefty budgets. The director has helmed numerous popular movies such as Transformers Franchise, The Rock and The Bad Boys Franchise. Recently, the filmmaker announced that he is done with the Transformers Franchise.

Michael also revealed earlier that he will be retiring soon but with a bang and aims to create something which is more serious and more adult. Now, the director has announced an idea which may be a plot of the sequel of his 1996 blockbuster movie ‘The Rock’. The movie starred Sir Sean Connery and Nicolas Cage.

The director also revealed that the storyline of the sequel will begin from the point where the previous movie ended. The sequel will depict a scenario where Nicholas Cage possesses a damaging microfilm which comprises of all the dirty secrets of the Government. The actor will be chased by the Government in the movie.
