Michael Douglas to play Ronald Reagan in Reykjavik

Hollywood superstar Michael Douglas will play the role of former US President Ronald Reagan in his next movie –Reykjavik. According to sources, the film revolves around the famous U.S.-Russia summit on nuclear weapons held in 1986 in Iceland and it will go on floors in March next year.

Though, the summit was not successful, it established a connection between Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev which ultimately resulted in the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty the following year.Donnie Brascofame Mike Newell, who will direct the film, told Politico, “We have the same problem in this country with [Winston] Churchill. If you don't have a cigar and a glass of port in his hand, they say it's not Churchill. And, if you do, they say it's the same Churchill all over again. The answer is

there has to be a recognizable exterior because it will destroy credibility if there isn't and, at the same time, what you have to do is to get under the skin".
