New Star Wars film to be directed by J.J. Abrams

The banner had purchased the rights ofStar Warsfranchise and its studio from creator George Lucas's Lucasfilm for $4 billion in October and it is producing the next film of the series that will be released in 2015.
According to Variety magazine, Disney is about to complete a deal with the director who is renowned for making popular television seriesLostand filmsMission: Impossible IIIandStar Trek. The firstStar Warsmovie was made in 1977 by Lucas.
