Nicole Kidman Might Join James Wan’s Aquaman

The Hollywood Reporter has brought news that Eyes Wide Shut actress Nicole Kidman might be roped in for James Wan’s DC Comics adaptation ‘Aquaman’. She is in talks to play the role of Aquaman’s mother, Atlanna. If the talks follow through, she will join Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson and Willem Dafoe.

Jason will be playing the titular character after first making his debut as The King of the Seven Seas in last year’s ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’. Amber will be playing the role of his wife Mera. Willem will play Nuidis Vulko, who is the chief scientific adviser of Atlantis while Patrick will play Aquaman’s super villain half brother ORM.

Atlanna first appeared in 1959’s Adventure Comics #260. She fell in love with a human named Tom Curry and had a son with him. It is expected that the shooting for ‘Aquaman’ will start from April. The movie will be directed by James Wan and will hit the screens on October 5 next year.

Meanwhile, Jason will also be seen in ‘Justice League’ which will be released on November 17.
