Not Interested To Play James Bond: James McAvoy

Hollywood actor, James McAvoy is not interested in playing the character of James Bond as he thinks the role doesn’t suit him. The actor said that he has no interest in taking Daniel Craig’s place. He added “Have I been in the running? (Is it the dream role for actors?) Apparently so but not for me. It wouldn’t work, he wouldn’t suit me”.

However, when asked about the reason for him rejecting to play James Bond, the actor said that his 'Atomic Blonde' character is opposite to that of Bond. He further described the character saying that his character is everything Bond isn’t and loves it, and he probably loves the spy game a little too much.

The 38-year-old is seen as a covert spy David Percival opposite Charlize Theron in Cold War thriller 'Atomic Blonde'. The actor further said, “There isn’t as much effort put into the actual goal. We’re dissecting the glamorous side of spying with Charlize and then the crustier hobo perspective with my character. It feels very balanced”.
