Original Groot is Dead and Baby Groot is New Being, Reveals James Gunn

Speaking about everyone’s favourite, Guardians Of The Galaxy, filmmaker James Gunn revealed that the original Groot in the film is dead and that Baby Groot is a new being. Fans were completely taken aback, when in the first volume of the film, Groot was killed. Baby Groot was then born from the remnants of Groot’s body.

 Since Baby Groot was created out of the remains of Groot’s body, it was widely speculated that the character was going to live on. However, Gunn’s words are set to break all speculations and expectations. He took to Facebook to talk about the character of Groot.  "I also mentioned to folks who kept throwing the Groot revival in my face, that that example doesn't really work because Groot is dead. Although I don't necessarily think it's obvious in Vol 1, it's important to say that if you exploded and a little glob of you started growing into a baby, I would not assume that baby was you."

 The filmmaker further said, " I do think it's more obvious in Vol. 2, as Baby Groot has a different personality than Groot, none of his memories, and is much, much dumber." Well, let’s see what the second volume of the movie awaits us. Hoping for the best!
